Belardo Lights Projects
Many folks who put up Christmas Light displays end up buying most of their decorations at retail stores or perhaps online. While there is nothing particularly wrong
with doing that, there's only so many different types of decorations available. We learned from browsing the Planet Christmas website that some of the best displays incorporated certain
homemade decorations, including specialized lighting, animated characters, original ideas, and other items that "set them apart" and made them unique as compared to other "store-bought" displays.
Given the father-son element of our display, and drawing from the inspiration presented on the Planet Christmas website, we started by building a few items in 2006 that were a
big hit with visitors. Continuing the tradition for the 2007 and 2008 Christmas seasons, there were several complex homemade items in our display, such as the Talking Heads, the Dancing Stephen,
the Christmas Word Tree, the Singing Reindeer, Sparkleballs, and so much more...
And watch out for 2010! We'll have several new items in the display this year that are amazing! We're still working on projects in Santa's workshop, so you'll have to come back and see what's new
for 2010 as we get closer to Christmas.
In the end, our goal is to create a beautiful Christmas display that dazzles visitors, makes them smile and want
to come back for more! On the various pages to the left, we've highlighted many of the homemade Christmas decorations we've built over the past few years. We hope you enjoy the photos and
